SAN JUAN, MM--Three days after grabbing 30 rebounds against Letran, Allwell Oraeme did it again.

The 6-9 Mapua beanpole posted his second straight 30-board game, a rare occurrence in Philippine basketball, as the team rallied to beat Arellano, 81-76, in their crucial NCAA showdown at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Friday.

Oraeme also led the Cardinals in scoring anew with 15 points, but they had to pull off a fourth quarter run to down the Chiefs.

The Cardinals, behind by 8 points, 62-54, on the start of the fourth quarter, released a whooping 17-4 run mid-quarter, paving the way for a turn-around advantage of 71-66.

The two teams exchanged shots left and right until the Chiefs, through Donald Gumaru, closed the margin to just 3, 73-76 during the 56th second.

Mapua, on the other hand, defended the lead after they were able to connect five out of the six free throws given to them.

Asked for a comment regarding the sixth straight win, Mapua assistant coach Ed Cordero told the press: "We started slow...Now we're getting more mature."
