San Sebastian continues spoiler bid, shocks Perpetual Help

SAN JUAN, MM--Despite getting ousted already, San Sebastian continues to make the NCAA playoff race more complicated.

The Golden Stags shocked the Perpetual Help Altas, 91-87, on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Arena that put the latter's playoff hope on hold.

San Sebastian bucked a slow start and took a 63-57 lead after the third quarter.

Perpetual Help stuck close in the fourth quarter, but Baste held on for its third win in the last four games.

Jamil Ortuoste led the Stags with 27 points, while Bradwyn Guinto added 25 along with 11 rebounds.

Gab Dagangon had 22 markers for the Altas, whose star Scottie Thompson had his eighth triple-double of the season with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Perpetual Help now found itself a half-game ahead of JRU in the race for third place entering the latter's match against Lyceum, which is being played as of posting.
