SAN JUAN, MM--San Sebastian stunned San Beda, 98-92, in the nightcap of NCAA Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Arena.
Already out of contention, the Golden Stags gave the Red Lions an early headache as they raced to a 28-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.
San Beda kept in pace with San Sebastian and eventually took a 75-74 lead at the end of the third quarter.
The game remained tight for most of the fourth quarter until an 8-0 Golden Stags run put them up for good.
Bradwyn Guinto led San Sebastian with 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block, while Mike Calisaan added 21 markers.
Arth Dela Cruz tallied a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists for San Beda, which now slipped to a three-way tie with Letran and Perpetual Help at the top of the standings at 11-4 ahead of a pivotal Friday triple-header involving the six remaining teams in the Final Four hunt.
