CHANGSHA--Make that 0-3 for the ASEAN region in the opening day of the FIBA Asia Championship.

After Gilas Pilipinas ended at the wrong end of the day's biggest upset by Palestine, fellow SEABA teams Malaysia and Singapore also suffered big losses to open their own campaign in the Olympic qualifier on Wednesday night.

China bludgeoned Singapore from the start to take a 91-42 at the CWSC Dayun Arena, while India walloped Malaysia, 102-73, in a game simultaneously held at the CSUFT Arena.

Zhai Xhaochuan top scored the Chinese contingent with 13 points, nine rebounds, and two steals, while three others led by NBA veteran Yi Jianlian added 12 markers.

Meanwhile, Amjyot Singh had a double-double of 24 points and ten rebounds along with two assists and two blocks for India in its own victory.
