By Ivan Saldajeno

SAN JUAN, MM--Scottie Thompson continues to make a late case in the MVP race as he notched his seventh triple-double in NCAA Season 91 as Perpetual Help mauled EAC, 89-59, at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Tuesday.

The reigning MVP, who has some tough oppositions in his pursuit for back-to-back plums, made ten points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists to lead the Altas, who pulled away from the Generals in the second half.

Prince Eze had a double-double of his own with 11 markers and ten boards along with four blocks even as Gerald Dizon led the scoring with 18 points for Perpetual Help, which is now in a tie for second place with Letran at 11-4, a half-game behind league-leading San Beda.

The Red Lions could end up in a three-way logjam with the Altas and the Knights in first place if they lose to the San Sebastian Golden Stags in a game being played as of posting.

Christ Mejos had 13 points for the already-ousted EAC, which further slips to 2-13.
