PASAY—Adamson finally got a win in UAAP Season 78 by stunning UP, 73-68, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

The Soaring Falcons, however, needed to overcome a second half explosion from the Fighting Maroons led by Paul Desiderio.

Adamson opened a 47-28 lead at halftime, but UP went on a 34-14 uprising to lead, 62-61, with 5:41 left in the game.

The Falcons restored order by going on an 11-2 run even as their defense clobbered the Maroons in the end.

Jerome Garcia sizzled for 26 points on five triples to lead Adamson in scoring.

Desiderio finished with 26 of his own for UP, which has now lost five straight.
