PASAY—Kiefer Ravena started the barrage, and Von Pessumal finished it.

Ateneo's King Eagles delivered on Sunday as they lifted their team to a 68-59 win over NU in an important UAAP game for both of them at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Ravena scored the Blue Eagles' first 21 points and opened a 15-point lead by his lonesome.

But just as he began to slow down, the Bulldogs crawled back and took the upper hand, 39-38, in the third quarter.

Pessumal then came to work, taking over in the rest of the second half offensively even as his teammates made defensive efforts to withhold NU's late runs.

Ravena finished with 32 points, while Pessumal had 17 of his 20 points in the second half for the Eagles, who moved up to 7-4 in the standings.

Gelo Alolino tallied 17 markers for the Bulldogs, who slipped to 4-7, a game and a half behind the De La Salle Green Archers for fourth place ahead of their clash on Wednesday at the same venue.
