PASAY--For the second straight time in the NCAA men's basketball finals, the fans got a piece of the action.

This time around, a Letran player fell prey to the heckles.

Mark Cruz appeared to be approaching a San Beda fan late in Game 2 of the best-of-three series after the latter continuously threw some trash talks to the point guard.

Coach Aldin Ayo confirmed that Cruz was headed for the said fan after apparently getting irate at him.

The Knights' mentor bared, "Minura [si Mark] ng fan ng San Beda. Inawat ko lang siya kasi ayaw ko na magkagulo at may sanction."

He also clarified that Red Lions Arth Dela Cruz, Baser Amer, and Dan Sara only came to help pacify the situation as well.

The said incident coincidentally took place two days after Star, where Cruz will head for after the NCAA Finals, crossed paths with arch rival Ginebra in what many dubbed as the "Clasico" of the PBA.

The jeers and the heckles from the fans are expected every time they meet.

On the other hand, the previous chapter of the NCAA's own "Clasico" also had some big crowd reaction as fans from San Beda and Letran nearly came to blows late in the finals opener.
