MANILA—Junemar Fajardo and L.A. Tenorio finally got the go signal to don the Gilas uniform again.

The PBA Board of Governors included the San Miguel center and Ginebra point guard to the Gilas pool for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament on July 4-10.

After a special board meeting on Wednesday, Fajardo and Tenorio headlined the 17-man pool for the weeklong cagefest where three teams will head to Rio De Janeiro for the Summer Olympics in August.

Both players backed out due to various reasons.

Fajardo's fellow Beerman, Gilas 1 standout Marcio Lassiter and Tenorio's fellow Gin Kings Japeth Aguilar and Greg Slaughter, who were in the Gilas 2 pool, also made the list.

Two more Gilas 2 players, Rain Or Shine's Paul Lee and Jeff Chan, were also part of the pool, joining comrade Gabe Norwood.

Norwood's Gilas 3 teammates Calvin Abueva, Jayson Castro, Matt Rosser, Marc Pingris, Troy Rosario, Ranidel De Ocampo, and Terrence Romeo also made the pool.

Completing the so-called Gilas 4 are newcomers Ryan Reyes and Ian Sangalang.

Andray Blatche is expected to be the squad's naturalized center, while Jordan Clarkson could join the teteam sooner depending on the Los Angeles Lakers' season.

To give the new Gilas pool ample training time, the PBA board also moved the start of the Governors' Cup to mid-July, right after the OQT.
