MANDALUYONG--Although already in the market for about a month, Gatorade's new variant was formally introduced on Thursday at a fitness challenge for the press at the Gatorade Hoops Center.
The number one sports drink in the world officially launched its new White Lightning flavor during the said event, and long time Gatorade ambassadors Alyssa Valdez and Mika Reyes graced the event.
Also joining the said fitness challenge was new endorser Chris Banchero, who was fresh from a team practice with Alaska earlier Thursday at the said venue.
“Chris is a top athlete who knows the value of working hard to stay in peak form and understand that games aren’t won on the court but in the gym and practice venues. We’re excited to see him inspire more people to pursue active lifestyles and understand the value of proper hydration,” said Tony Atayde, Pepsico Philippines marketing manager for hydration.
Despite being tired from practice, Banchero gamely mentored his team in the media fitness challenge.
At the end of the said event, however, Reyes' team edged out the groups of Valdez and Banchero, and the members of the winning squad got to take home big prizes from Gatorade and other sponsors.
