STA. CRUZ, Laguna--A secondary basketball game in the Milo Little Olympics on Saturday night was momentarily put to a hold as the tournament director awaited for naught the first aid team inside the San Luis Arena.

Late into the match-up between Assumption-Pampanga and Corpus Christi, Mark Bondoc and Jose Sabandal each fell down in cramps, but the first aid apparently did not respond immediately.

When the officials called for time with 1:53 left in the game, they awaited the return of some medics, who left the playing area in the first half.

Thinking that the break was long enough, they asked the teams' respective coaches if they want to resume the game, in which they said yes.

Sabandal played through cramps, but Corpus Christi's ace lost steam in the end as the team succumbed to Assumption-Pampanga, which opted to keep Bondoc on the bench the rest of the way, 64-74.

After the game, however, some other first aid team approached the officials' table and clarified they were on standby all match long.

Still, Assumption-Pampanga did not leave the arena immediately as it took some more time before the stretcher came to bring out Bondoc, who still grimaced in pain.
