MANILA--NBA legend Ron Harper will grace the opening of the NBA Store's second Philippine branch.

The former Chicago Bull, who became teammates with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Toni Kukoc, and current Golden State coach Steve Kerr during the team's second three-peat from 1996 to 1998, will be the special guest of the grand opening of the NBA Store's SM Megamall branch on Friday at 12 n.n.

This will be the second time Harper, who also won two more titles with the Los Angeles Lakers before calling it a career in 2001, will make a trip to the Philippines since 2013, when he also became a special guest for the NBA preseason game between the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The new NBA Store in one of the top malls in the Ortigas area will cater those coming from north of Metro Manila who find the store's flagship branch in Glorietta 3 too far.

Just like the Makati store, the soon-to-open Mandaluyong branch will put official NBA merchandises and signature shoes by the league's players on sale.

The new NBA Store is located at the third floor of the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall.
