ABU DHABI—Novi Sad became the first team to win the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final multiple times after downing Kranj, 17-14, in the championship game on Saturday (Philippine Time).
Novi Sad opened the game with five straight points and held on despite a gallant stand from Kranj, which is a fellow Pool D member of Manila North.
Dusuv Bulut capped an MVP-worthy tournament with eight points to finish with a total of 42, enough to give him the top individual award.
His team, which won its second straight plum in front of its home country, walked away US$30 thousand (about PHP1.38 million) richer and earned an outright entry to the FIBA 3x3 All-Star tournament later in the year.
Manila North finished sixth in the tournament and won US$8 thousand (about PHP368 thousand) for itself.
