MANILA--On Sunday, UP coach Rensy Bajar told the media after his team's game against Adamson that Jerson Prado appeared to have fractured his right patella in the second quarter of the said match.
It turned out, it was a more dreaded injury.
In a message from Dr. Raul Canlas relayed to Dugout Philippines on Tuesday, the rookie center suffered tears in five different knee ligaments namely the ACL, MCL, meniscus, PCL, and the LCL as per the MRI readings.
Prado is now ruled out for the rest of the season, leaving a hole in the big man rotation of the Fighting Maroons, who have lost five straight games after a promising 2-0 start.
He suffered the injury when he landed awkwardly following a rebound play.
