QUEZON CITY--NU is now in a virtual tie for fourth place with La Salle after a win against UP at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

But Coach Eric Altamirano is not thinking about the race for the last Final Four spot yet.

"Gusto namin munang i-focus yung trabaho namin. We wanted to take care of our own business. We still have FEU coming up, so doon muna kami naka-focus. And then we will let the rest take care of itself," Altamirano said after the game.

He even said that the Bulldogs' slowly but surely revived title defense is not in their minds right now.

"Ayaw muna naming isipin yun. If it happens, it happens. Ang importante lang, we will have to take care of our own business. You cannot even look to hoping that the other team will win. Ang importante, i-hurdle muna namin yung assignments namin," Altamirano continued, although he admitted he hopes for an Ateneo win over La Salle later Sunday.
