Ateneo's Ikeh posts bail, will play versus DLSU on Sunday

QUEZON CITY--After arresting and detaining the player for a night in Camp Karingal, the Quezon City Police District released Ateneo Blue Eagle Chibueze Ikeh early Thursday after posting bail worth PHP 24 thousand.

Ikeh, taken into police custody last night after his team's UAAP game versus the UP Fighting Maroons, was alleged of a violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-violence Against Woman and Their Children Act of 2004. His lawyers brought the bail money the morning of Thursday for his temporary freedom.

Athletic Director Em Fernandez later said that Ikeh will be available to play on Sunday when the Blue Eagles face their arch nemesis De La Salle Green Archers in a crucial match for both teams.

Ateneo vies for a shot on grabbing a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.

Meanwhile, DLSU looks to fight for survival and stay in the race for the last spot in the Final Four.
