BIÑAN--After splitting its first four games in alternating fashion, Barako Bull finally nailed its first back-to-back wins of the 2016 season of the PBA with a 93-85 victory over Mahindra at the Alonte Sports Arena on Tuesday night.
R.R. Garcia scorched for a season-high 26 points even as J.C. Intal added 20 to lead the Energy, who jumped to a double-digit spread in the second half and never looked back to go up to 3-2.
Mark Yee led Mahindra with 17 markers in a little over 17 minutes of play, while L.A. Revilla contributed 12, highlighted by a scintillating coast-to-coast drive in the second quarter.
Rodney Brondial, Barako's new recruit via a Monday trade with Ginebra, sat out the entire game. The guy Ginebra got, Jervy Cruz, could make an appearance against Meralco later Tuesday.
Both games were supposed to be played on Oct. 21 but were moved to Tuesday due to eventual rescheduling of the opening ceremonies as a consequence of inclement weather on Oct. 18.
