Ginebra romps Meralco for second win

BIÑAN--Two nights after suffering its biggest loss of the PBA Philippine Cup, Ginebra posted its biggest win.

The Gin Kings bludgeoned the Meralco Bolts, 89-64, in their meeting at the Alonte Sports Arena on Tuesday night.

Ginebra outscored Meralco, 48-24, in the second and the third quarters to blow the game wide open in the favor of the league's crowd darling.

Greg Slaughter and Japeth Aguilar each scored 18 points, while Nico Salva matched his career-high of 11 for the Gin Kings.

Meanwhile, two nights after dropping 40, Gary David tallied 18 markers for Meralco, which remained the only winless team in the conference.
