LOS ANGELES--Kobe Paras officially signed a national letter of intent on Thursday (Philippine Time) to play for UCLA, paving the way for him to become the second homegrown Filipino player to join a US NCAA Division 1 team after current Ginebra forward Japeth Aguilar.
The Bruins announced the commitment on their Twitter account.

Also joining the 6-6 Batang Gilas standout at UCLA are 6-5 Lonzo Ball and 6-10 Ike Anigbogu. The three players will become eligible to play next season.
Meanwhile, Paras, who will suit up for Middlebrooks Academy for his last high school playing year, took to Twitter his gratitude.
