MANILA--In 2010, Kevin Ferrer beat Kiefer Ravena for the UAAP juniors basketball MVP title.
Five years later, the exact opposite happened in the seniors division.
Kiefer this time got the better of "K-Fer" for him to take the UAAP seniors basketball MVP plum.
In a copy of the overall statistical points obtained by Dugout Philippines from chief statistician Pong Ducanes on Thursday, Ateneo's King Eagle subdued UST's King Tiger by just a little over two points for the league's top individual prize.
Ravena gained a total of 69.5 SP's, while Ferrer ended with 67.3571 SP's.
Ravena averaged 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.3 block a ballgame, while Ferrer got averages of 17.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 steal, and 0.4 block an outing.
Meanwhile, despite his team missing out on the Final Four right on the final game of the eliminations, La Salle's Jeron Teng will still make the Mythical Five after finishing fourth overall with 60.7857 SP's.
On the other hand, last year's Finals MVP, NU's Alfred Aroga, was third with 63.2857 SP's.
UST's spark plug Ed Daquioag completes the Mythical Five with 60.5714. Daquioag is the lone Mythical Five member without a penalty as the top four players each incurred either a technical or an unsportsmanlike foul, which is a five-point deduction per game.
