QUEZON CITY--Rain Or Shine scored its third straight win while ending Ginebra's own three-game winning run with a 94-86 win in their PBA Philippine Cup battle at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night.
The Elasto Painters leaned on a 10-0 run in the third quarter to break a 46-all deadlock to lead, 56-46. They eventually stretch their lead to as much as 15, 75-60, early in the fourth.
The Gin Kings tried to mount one final push but could only come to within as close as seven as the E-Painters responded with key baskets to solidify their lead.
Jeff Chan led Rain Or Shine, which joined Alaska and San Miguel at joint first place at 6-1, with 19 points capped by the dagger three-point play in the dying moments of the match.
Japeth Aguilar posted 22 markers, nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal for Ginebra, which fell to 4-4.
