SMB pulls away late to down upset-seeking Blackwater

PASIG--San Miguel needed a late fourth quarter run to hold off a gutsy Blackwater squad, 93-83, in the nightcap of the PBA games at the PhilSports Arena on Wednesday.

The Beermen banked on a 9-2 run in the last 3:36 of the game to pull away from the Elite, who are looking to duplicate their huge win against the Meralco Bolts last week.

Recent Gilas call-ups Junemar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter each scored 20 points for San Miguel, which bounced back from its loss to Rain Or Shine also last week.

Poy Erram amassed a game-high 23 markers for Blackwater, which dropped to 1-2.
