TNT bludgeons lowly Meralco for second straight win

PASIG--Talk 'n Text stifled Meralco from the latter stages of the first quarter and cruised to a 105-91 win in their PBA Philippine Cup match at the PhilSports Arena on Wednesday night.

Following a close start, the Tropang Texters outscored the Bolts, 39-11, in a juncture of the game from the halfway point of the first quarter to the early moments of the second.

TNT never looked back as it successfully kept Meralco from mounting a huge run.

Matt Rosser came off the bench to lead the Texters, who have now won two straight after an opening day loss, with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.

Top rookie picks Moala Tautuaa and Troy Rosario had their best game so far in the season with 18 and 14 points respectively.

Rabeh Al-Hussaini tallied 16 markers, five boards, one dime, and two swats for the Bolts, who failed to get much contribution from their bench players and lost their third straight match.
