QUEZON CITY--Junemar Fajardo just missed out on tying his career-high but still powered San Miguel to a 102-86 beating of Mahindra in the nightcap of the PBA Philippine Cup doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.
Fajardo scored 35 points, one shy of his personal-best 36, which was coincidentally tallied against the Enforcers, formerly the Kia Carnival, last season, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished two assists, and made three blocks and one steal for the Beermen, who pulled away late in the second quarter to regain the solo lead at 7-1.
Fellow Cebuano standout Brian Heruela added 14 markers, three caroms, five dimes, and three swipes off the bench in a no-turnover outing for San Miguel.
Aldrech Ramos made 13 points and seven rebounds, while Bradwyn Guinto had 12 points, 12 rebounds, one block, and one steal for Mahindra.
