San Beda avenges NCAA Finals loss against Letran in first PCCL "co-final"

SAN JUAN, MM—San Beda successfully defended its PCCL title.

Sort of.

The Red Lions took the first of two national championships at stake on Thursday with a 94-72 rout of the Letran Knights at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

San Beda blew the game wide open early on and gained a vindication on its NCAA Finals loss to Letran last October.

Davon Potts led the Red Lions with 11 points, while seven others added nine each.

Jerrick Balanza tallied 15 markers for the Knights, who played for the first time minus former coach Aldin Ayo.
