QUEZON CITY--Due to continuous rains induced by the northeast monsoon that rendered the Moro Lorenzo Football Field unplayable, the UAAP Season 78 juniors football matches which was supposed to be played on Saturday was cancelled.
The matches scheduled was between defending champion Far Eastern University-Diliman and Ateneo, and De La Salle-Zobel against University of Santo Tomas, which was supposed to be the final day of the first round, will be played on Jan. 16 at the Katipunan venue.
The league is now on a holiday break and will resume action on Jan. 9 with the second round hostilities of juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
The Baby Tamaraws are on top of the table with six points, while the Junior Archers and the Blue Eaglets are level with three points, while the Tiger Cubs remain without a point.
