TAGUIG--Just as UFC officially announced its new Philippine broadcast partner, the promotion also made its intent on putting up a sequel to its successful Mall of Asia event last May.

Executive Vice President Ken Berger revealed in the press conference of UFC's partnership with TV5 at the Seda Hotel on Tuesday that the world's grandest MMA stage will look at a return to the Philippines next year.

"We are looking at coming back here," Berger bared UFC's Philippine plans for 2016.

The exact date of the second UFC fight card in the Philippines is expected to be announced by March.

On the developments on the UFC event, Berger said, "We are working on the dates, logistics, and availability of venues."

The UFC, then partnering with ABSCBN, staged its first fight card at the Mall of Asia Arena highlighted by Mark Muñoz's farewell fight and Frankie Edgar's victory over Urijah Faber in the main event.

But on Tuesday, the said MMA promotion announced its new TV partnership with TV5, ending an eight-year collaboration with the Kapamilya Network that stemmed from its decision to permanently put its sports channel, Balls, off the air by the end of the year.
