PASAY--Willie Wilson put up glaring numbers as Barako Bull pulled a 105-98 overtime victory over Talk 'n Text in their PBA Philippine Cup meeting at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday night.
Wilson muffed the potential game-winning shot in regulation but bounced back with a couple of crucial baskets in the last two minutes to end the Energy's two-game slump.
Barako trailed, 87-88, with 5:19 remaining in the fourth quarter before R.R. Garcia caught fire late and led the team's charge to take a 97-95 lead with 34.2 seconds left in regulation.
But Troy Rosario made two free throws with 15.5 seconds to go in regulation and tied the game, 97-all.
Wilson muscled his way inside for the go-ahead basket, but he botched the attempt and Rosario secured TNT's possession with 2.2 ticks on the clock.
Jayson Castro opted to go for a three at the final horn, but his try rimmed out, sending the game to overtime.
It was all Energy in the extra five minutes as their defense limited the Tropang Texters to only a Castro free throw even as Wilson scored the dagger field goals.
Wilson finished with 28 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block, while Garcia added 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal before leaving the game with an apparent shoulder injury for Barako, which moved up to 4-4.
Moala Tautuaa led Talk 'n Text with 20 markers, five boards, and four dimes.
