PASIG--She sat on the sideline as she witness her squad lose to the defending champions, Ateneo de Manila Lady Eagles.
She cheered loud and hard but she knew she could only do so much as her team fought gallantly against the mighty Lady Eagles.
La Salle's Ara Galang went down from an injury entering the championship series.
Months after that injury that forced her to sit out the matches, De La Salle University’s team captain is back and ready for war.
Ara, when asked by Dugout Philippines about what could have been different if she had played against their match with ADMU, she mentioned that she could not concretely say the difference but believes that the results could have been altered.
“Di ko din masabi, kasi natapos na din naman yun” shared DLSU’s main skipper.
Looking ahead to her bounce back season, Galang is still excited to go head to head against every squad in the UAAP.
“Isa lang naman ang goal ng lahat ng team, so for me, lahat tough contenders,” she answered on who she thinks could be a huge title threat.
Galang is not only ready for war, but she is eyeing to win it all in the UAAP.
“Ang goal namin is championship,” she bared her team's aim this year
Now that Galang is back, she, together with the rest of the Lady Spikers are more than determined to redeem their championship glory and bring home the volleyball crown back to the walls of Taft.
Prepared to take on the leadership role once again, the Angeles native is happy to be back on the volleyball court.
“Basta wag kong isipin at tanggalin sa isip ko yun [injury] and laruin ko yung best ko,” Galang shared her plans.
Galang will have her return game on Feb. 2 against the always dangerous Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws at the PhilSports Arena.
