PASIG--Phoenix-FEU opened its PBA D-League Aspirants Cup campaign with a bang, crushing Wang's, 107-70, in the nightcap of the Monday doubleheader at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The Accelerators never wasted a moment in mauling the Couriers, opening the game with a double-digit advantage and extending it to as large as 48 points before settling for the 37-point margin at fulltime.
Mac Belo tallied 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal off the bench, while Ed Daquioag added 20 points, four rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block for Phoenix-FEU.
Tan-Tan Banal made 17 markers, five boards, one dime, and four steals to lead Wang's.
