Alaska rallies to trip TNT

QUEZON CITY--Alaska banked on a huge fourth quarter to trample Talk 'n Text, 108-100, in the nightcap of a PBA Commissioner's Cup doubleheader on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Aces erased a 13-point deficit in the third quarter and started the fourth with a 10-0 run to take the lead for good, even stretching it to as high as nine midway through the period.

The Tropa tried to mount a comeback, cutting the lead to as low as three, but the Aces closed out the game on a 6-1 run in the last 46.4.

Shane Edwards beat out David Simon in their respective PBA debuts as Rob Dozier's injury replacement finished with 36 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal for Alaska while the import who took over Ivan Johnson's spot had 35 points, 19 rebounds, two assists, four blocks, and one steal for TNT but committed eight turnovers.
