MANILA--Green Archers United sharpened its arrows in the second half to turn Manila Nomads back, 4-0, as the club started its 2016 UFL Cup stint on a high note on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Lee Joo-Young, Gary Epesso, Hossein Dostdarsefidmazgi, and Jimuel Ariola provided the goals for Dolfo Alicante to go up to second behind Global in Group B.
After an uneventful first half, GAU went to work in the second half as Lee scored on a free kick just five minutes into the restart.
Epesso made it 2-0 24 minutes later when he latched on a Chieffy Caligdong through ball to slot the ball into the bottom middle part of the net.
With ten minutes to go, the Archers tripled their edge when Hossein fires his left foot into the bottom right corner past Nomads custodian Enrique Ortiz.
Ariola then settled the final score in the 86th minute after accepting another Chieffy pass to beat the hapless Ortiz on a 1-on-1.
