SAN JUAN, MM--Caida withstood a fiery game from Diego Dario and blew out UP-QRS-JAM, 118-86, in their PBA D-League Aspirants Cup match-up at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Tuesday.
The Tile Masters outscored the Fighting Maroons, 38-15, in the final quarter while completely weathering Dario, who scored 17 points after the first three quarters.
Philip Paniamogan led Caida, which tied Cafe France-CEU in first place, with 19 points and two rebounds, while Jonathan Grey added 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists. With the result, both teams earned respective twice-to-beat advantages in the quarterfinals.
The former Batang Gilas standout finished with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal for UP-QRS-JAM, although he committed five of the team's 23 total turnovers.
