SAN JUAN, MM--Caida looks to quickly get back on the winning track as it collides with Phoenix-FEU in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Monday.
The Tile Masters, who botched a 24-point lead and lost to the Cafe France-CEU Bakers on Thursday, will go up against the Accelerators, the only other unbeaten team, at 4 p.m., right after the match between two slumping teams, the UP-QRS-JAM Fighting Maroons and the Mindanao Aguilas, at 2 p.m.
Coach Caloy Garcia hopes Caida learned from its mistakes against Cafe France entering the Phoenix match.
"We have to learn from this experience [against Cafe France]. Our target is to make it to the top four for the twice-to-beat advantage. It's still a long season and we just have to learn to play together," said Garcia.
On the other hand, Phoenix-FEU tactician Eric Gonzales thinks his team is the underdog entering their match despite starting the tournament 3-0.
"Mabigat na kalaban yung Caida. Hopefully, we can give them a fight," Gonzales said.
The said PBA D-League fixture setup will actually be the tail-end of a triple-header at the said arena as Ateneo and La Salle-Zobel face off in the UAAP juniors basketball semifinals earlier Monday at 9 a.m.
