MANILA--Unleashing its firepower yet again, Ceres smothered Pasargad in a blowout, 9-0 to remain unbeaten in Group B in the UFL Cup on Thursday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Four Ceres booters scored for Ali Go with Adrian Gallardo nailing four, Stephan Schrock scoring three, and Kevin Ingreso and Martin Steuble tallying a goal each.

Ed Sacapano produced another clean sheet for the second match running as the reigning league champion got its AFC Cup preparations on a right note.

Ceres stamped its masterclass for the second match running with 67 percent of the possession going its way and firing 34 shots on Hayeson Pepito.

Pepito was left frustrated for the third match in a row as he already let in 23 goals for the tournament.

After a sluggish first 19 minutes, Gallardo drew first blood in the following minute as he heads in home from Patrick Reichelt's cross .

Schrock doubled his club's advantaged in a two-step finish off a Manny Ott feed six minutes later.

Kevin Ingreso tripled Ceres' edge for the halftime score in the 35th minute off another Ott assist.

Ceres picked up where it left off two minutes into the restart, with Steuble making it 4-0 with a left-footed 30-yard screamer.

Not to be outdone, Adrian completed his brace three minutes later with a low volley off Schrock's cross from the right wing.

Despite being outclassed, Pasargad had several chances, but John De Castro was the closest of it with his shot gone inches wide off the post.
