F2 mauls San Jose in battle of newcomers

By Emy Manipol

SAN JUAN, MM--After a much talked about off-season, former De La Salle team captain Aby Marano found a new home in F2 Logistics.

F2 made a good opening impression after clobbering fellow new club San Jose Builders in three straight sets, 25-23, 25-10, 25-4, in the nightcap of the PSL Invitational opening day twinbill at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

Danika Gendrauli led the way for F2 with ten points while getting support from teammates, especially the former Petron star, who added seven while getting woman of the match honors.

San Jose Builders failed to find its rhythm inside the court, and its lack of team chemistry allowed the more veteran-loaded F2 Logistics to capitalize.

The third set was a nightmare for San Jose as the club only managed to tally four points.
