QUEZON CITY--Two days after seeing his 41-point outburst come to naught, Terrence Romeo tallied only about half of his said output on Sunday night.
This time, however, GlobalPort won.
The Batang Pier got a great Valentine's gift when they subdued the Ginebra Gin Kings, 89-85, in the nightcap of the PBA's Hearts Day presentation at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
While scoring less than his output on Friday night in a loss to Mahindra, Romeo delivered in the clutch as he made what would be the game-winning three-pointer with 55.5 seconds of the match. He did it in style.
Romeo made L.A. Tenorio commit to defense much before going on a crossover and pull-up for the dagger trey.

Despite the made three, however, the game remained tense until the dying moments.
Greg Slaughter grabbed the offensive rebound following a missed shot from Othyus Jeffers but failed to score the putback.
Ginebra, however, still had a chance to steal the win when Romeo missed another triple, giving the team 23 seconds to score.
But Tenorio missed the potential go-ahead triple from the corner and Stanley Pringle grabbed the board and made two free throws to seal GlobalPort's first victory of the mid-season Commissioner's Cup.
While once again leading the Batang Pier in scoring, Romeo, who did not have any assist against the Enforcers on Friday, also played facilitator by dishing six assists along with four rebounds as they got a less controversial repeat of their quarterfinal victory over the Gin Kings.
Brian Williams, on the other hand, added 19 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks.
Greg Slaughter tallied 20 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block even as Scottie Thompson nearly made a triple-double of eight points, six rebounds, and seven assists along with a steal for the Gin Kings, who dropped their second straight outing and saw Jeffers limited to only eight markers and forced to five turnovers.
