MANILA--JP Voltes bounced back from an early Forza goal for a 2-1 UFL Cup victory at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Despite JP Voltes’ early attempts, Forza took the lead in the ninth minute thanks to the goal of Ndoe Mekong, whose shot
touched the roof of the net.
But in the 25th minute, JP
Voltes equalized after the Forza keeper miscued Masaki Yanagawa’s header.
On the 35th minute mark, both
sides had their share of chances. Odawara and Espinosa continued to lead JP
Voltes’ attack while Forza had themselves a couple of corners.
JP Voltes then took the lead in the 56th
minute thanks to another header from Yanagawa from a corner.
