MANILA—Robert Mendy struck three goals as Kaya bounced back from a bitter loss in Hong Kong to blank Voltes, 4-0, in their UFL Cup clash at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
Back at what the defending UFL Cup champion will call home for the AFC Cup four nights after suffering a 0-1 defeat to Kitchee, Kaya vented ire on Voltes early on as Mendy opened the scoring with a sixth minute attack.
Mendy made it 2-0 20 minutes later while completing the hat trick three minutes into the second half.
Jovin Bedic iced the match with Kaya's lone other goal in the 84th minute.
