MANILA-- Relentless as ever, Ceres massacred hapless Nomads, 15-0, to go on top of Group B in the UFL Cup Sunday night in the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Eight Ceres booters were on the scoresheet for manager Ali Go with Martin Steuble and substitute Lee Jeong-Woo each having a hat trick along with braces by Adrian Gallardo, Bienve Marañon, and Stephan Schrock.

Patrick Reichelt, Nate Burkey and last week's hero Carli De Murga also contributed with a goal each to put them on top of Group B by a virtue of superior goal difference against Global, whose win against Green Archers United on Saturday was reportedly put into protest.

Ceres literally and figuratively hit and ran on a pitiful Nomads side, converting 45% of its total shots and bossing the field with an 80 percent possession rate all throughout the match.

Ed Sacapaño barely had a sweat in keeping the easiest cleen sheet of his career so far.

The reigning league champion won easily, despite resting regulars Juani Guirado, Paul Mulders, and Orman Okunaiya for the match as preparation for the club's AFC Cup opener against Selangor in Bacolod on Feb. 23.
