JAKARTA--Luis Santos got a third chance to go for the One welterweight title after knocking out Rafael Silva in the main event of One: Tribe of Warriors at the Istora Senayan on Saturday night.

Santos dropped a high knee to Silva's midsection followed by a ground kick, prompting Referee Yuji Shimada to call it a match at the 1:17 mark of the very first round.

Santos, who missed out at the belt currently held by Ben Askren after getting poked in the eye in their meeting and having their rematch canceled due to him going overweight, earned the right to battle Askren for the said championship.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Yabo and Trestle Tan both earned wins in their respective undercard matches.

Yabo knocked out Pakistani MMA hero Bashir Ahmad after connecting on a booming right hook 21 seconds into their match set at a 157-pound catchweight.

Tan, on the other hand, also made his presence felt in the welterweights after forcing Djatmiko Waluyo to tap out by a rear naked choke also in the first round.

Anthony Engelen averted a 3-0 sweep by the Filipino contingent by a submission win also through a rear naked choke against debuting Rocky Batolbatol.

Angela Lee also shone brightly on Saturday with a rear naked choke submission win against Rebecca Heintzman in their 120-pound catchweight battle.
