SAN JUAN, MM--Tanduay repulsed a late run from AMA and posted a 92-83 victory in the nightcap of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup doubleheader at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Tuesday.

Von Pessumal delivered the fatal blow to the Titans as he drained a booming triple with 1:06 left to help the Rhum Masters maintain order until the end.

Both teams played toe-to-toe for most parts of the game until Pessumal fired the clutch triple that gave Tanduay a seven-point cushion, 87-80. The three-pointer would launch an 8-1 run that helped Tanduay pull away for good.

Pari Llagas had 18 points, four rebounds, one assist, and two blocks, while Pessumal added 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists off the bench for the Rhum Masters, who are now tied with the UP-QRS-JAM Fighting Maroons in fourth place at 3-2.

Jerramy King had 18 markers of his own along with six markers, four assists, and one steal for the Titans, who remain winless after four outings.
