Wilkerson drops 52 on GlobalPort as SMB gets first win

QUEZON CITY--Tyler Wilkerson made a scintillating performance for San Miguel as he led the team to a 120-109 victory over GlobalPort in the tail end of the PBA Commissioner's Cup doubleheader at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.

Wilkerson scored 52 points, the most by a Beerman since 2001, as he paced his team, which pulled away for good in the fourth quarter, to its first win in the mid-season conference.

Wilkerson also added 11 rebounds, one assist, four blocks, and one steal even as Marcio Lassiter fired 28 points, four rebounds, six assists, and one block for the Beermen.

Calvin Warner tallied 27 markers, 17 rebounds, four dimes, and one block for the Batang Pier.
