MANILA--Wak Santos has been part of Ateneo's basketball program for four years already, and he hopes his experience playing in major tournaments like SBP-Passerelle will give him an edge ahead of the City Hoops tournament for his alma mater.

"Every time that I'll be playing at City Hoops, I'll make it a point that I'll be playing first to help my team and learn what we do and what we preach as a team," the 5-8 shooting guard told Dugout Philippines on Friday.

Right now, Santos will be using City Hoops to further sharpen his skills as a chance to join Batang Gilas standouts SJ Belangel, Ron Berjay, and Shaun Ildefonso at the high school team awaits for him.

"I've been invited by the UAAP juniors team to tryout for this summer, but as of the moment they want me to focus on the Passerelle team and prioritize helping the team prepare for the upcoming season," Santos further said.

Now getting some time joining Coach Joe Silva in practice although limited, Santos vowed, "I will apply at City Hoops everything I learned from the UAAP tryouts, so in the future I am more than ready when the Eaglets hold another tryouts."
