QUEZON CITY--Blackwater finally scored a win against GlobalPort in its PBA stint.

The Elite did it in style.

Blackwater romped GlobalPort, 115-103, in their Commissioner's Cup clash at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

The Elite pulled away for good in the middle of the fourth quarter to add more woes to the Batang Pier, who have been struggling since their breakthrough semifinal appearance in the Philippine Cup.

Blackwater actually tried to pull away early on, breaking out of a 27-all first quarter tie to lead by as much as 20 in the third, 76-56.

GlobalPort, however, slowly crawled back and came to within six, 81-87, early in the fourth.

The Elite regrouped in time and rebuilt their huge advantage later in the payoff period and never looked back as they ended their own slump.

MJ Rhett scored 30 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one block, and three steals, while Mike Cortez added 22 points, four rebounds, and seven assists for Blackwater, which moved up to 3-3.

Calvin Warner tallied 26 points, 22 rebounds, six assists, and one steal for GlobalPort, which further slipped to 2-4.

Jeric Fortuna was held scoreless, missing all of his seven shots, and committed three turnovers in his first game as a Batang Pier following a trade with the Phoenix Fuel Masters last week.
