PASIG--Cafe France-CEU dominated Wang's from the start and hacked out a 90-72 win in the first PBA D-League Aspirants Cup quarterfinal match at the Ynares Sports Arena on Thursday.

The top-seeded Bakers did not make full use of their twice-to-beat advantage and pounded the eighth-seeded Couriers right from the get-go to finish them off.

Samboy De Leon tallied 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists, while Mon Abundo added 11 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and four steals without a turnover for Cafe France-CEU, which will take on the winner of the quarterfinal pairing of UP-QRS-JAM and Tanduay in the best-of-three semifinals.

Mark Romero came off the bench to lead Wang's, which barely made the playoffs despite a dismal 1-7 record, with 12 markers, three rebounds, two dimes, and one steal.
