MANILA--In dire need of depth in the point guard spot, GlobalPort agreed with Phoenix in a trade for Jeric Fortuna.

The said transfer, which the PBA approved on Tuesday, will have the former UST King Tiger going to the Batang Pier in exchange of a 2018 second round pick.

Fortuna will have a reunion with former UST coach Pido Jarencio with GlobalPort at a time Stanley Pringle is sidelined due to an injury.

The said move will also give Terrence Romeo more time playing at his more comfortable shooting guard position.

Despite the loss of Fortuna, Phoenix remains point guard-loaded with RR Garcia, Josh Urbiztondo, Chico Lanete, Emman Monfort, and Paul Sorongon.
