MANILA--The PBA handed a one-game suspension to Rain Or Shine coach Yeng Guiao following a confrontation with match officials during the team's game against Mahindra on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The league, through an announcement on Thursday, meted the said ban on Guiao plus a PHP40 thousand fine for his actions following an offensive foul against Maverick Ahanmisi late in the second quarter of the game.
Guiao complained too much about the said call that he even blurted choice words to the referees and the table officials, leading to the sendoff.
Despite his ejection, the Elasto Painters would still whip the Enforcers, 103-98, for their third straight win.
Guiao will serve his suspension in Rain Or Shine's next game, a rare Monday night showdown with Talk 'n Text at the said Quezon City arena.
