SAN JUAN, MM--LGR will officially present its new "baby", the LGR Hoops Showcase, in a special Sunday event at the FilOil Flying V Centre and will run every weekend during the summer season.
Some of the 30 participating teams will see action in the opening night of the said summer tournament featuring players who have never experienced playing in the pros.
The said event will start at 6 p.m., right after the UAAP women's volleyball games.
Ten teams, featuring Macway and DBT led by former La Salle player PJ Barua, will play in the expert division, while the 20 others, divided into two groups of ten, will make up the novice division.
Nougat, another tournament favorite in the expert group, will actually field in two teams with the other side to take part in the novice division.
Aside from the said venue, the LGR Hoops Showcase will also hold games at the Cloverleaf Gym in Makati and the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
