NSNU trounces San Beda to claim NBTC crown

PASAY--NSNU proved to be too much for San Beda as it hacked out an 84-74 victory in the championship game of the NBTC National Finals Division 1 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday.

The Bullpups slowly got their groove going throughout the game and frustrated the Red Cubs for the national high school basketball crown.

John Lloyd Clemente fired four triples en route to a 20-point game with six rebounds and one steal, while Justine Clemente added 12 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and one block for NSNU.

Albert Bordeos finished with 15 markers, two boards, one assist, and one steal for San Beda, which for the second straight time failed to win the NBTC title.
